Basil’s Garage - 4-Year anniversary camp out!

November 14-16 · Southern California Desert

Hey — Basil here from Basil’s Garage.

I started this shop four years ago with one goal: to help people build their dream rigs for adventure. Every single one of you has played a part in that — so thank you. Now it’s time to set the tools down and go camping for a bit.

What’s the plan?

We’re going off-grid for a weekend of camping, stories, and good rigs. No schedules, no sales pitches, just a relaxed weekend in the desert with friends and family.

  • When: Friday, November 14 to Sunday, November 16

  • Where: Somewhere in the Southern California desert (we’ll send coordinates the week before)

  • Who: You + friends + family (they don’t need to be customers, just bring a good attitude)

  • What to expect:

    • A remote camping spot with no facilities (no bathrooms, no hookups)

    • Likely requires 4×4 access, though stock trucks should be fine

    • BYO everything: water, food, gear, entertainment, and your “restroom solution”

    • We’ll bring the community — you bring the rigs, the stories, the adventure

Why we’re doing this

Because we built this together. We’ve helped you build your rigs, and now it’s time to use them. This campout is about celebrating what we’ve built — not just the trucks, but the friendships, the travel plans, the exploration.

And yes — maybe we’ll turn this into a regular thing.

What’s expected of you

  • Respect the land. Leave the desert better than you found it. No trash, no mess.

  • Be self-sufficient. Bring everything you need.

  • Keep it casual and fun. This isn’t a show-off event — it’s about sharing, enjoying, exploring.

  • Safety first. Know your rig and your gear. Let’s look after each other in the wild.

What to bring (suggested list)

  • Camping gear: tent, sleeping bag, ground pad, etc.

  • Food & water for the weekend (plus a little extra just in case)

  • Restroom solution (portable toilet, bags, whatever you’ve got)

  • A good attitude and an open mind to share stories and build memories

  • Dogs are welcome, as long as they’re friendly.
