Baja Designs Lighting
Why Baja Designs
The deepest catalog in aftermarket lighting.
Baja Designs is a San Diego company that's been building offroad lighting for decades. Their catalog is the broadest in the space — pencil-tight pencil beams, wide cornering patterns, pod lights, light bars, rock lights, driving lights, and everything in between. Whatever beam pattern, mount, color temp, or platform you need, they probably make it. The optics are well-engineered, the build quality is consistent, and the lineup covers every truck we work on.
We don't stock BD. You can order direct, or through us. Either way, we install every product they make — wired cleanly through a Switch-Pros system, switched properly, and never just bolted on with a toggle in the dash.
What we install
Every product they make.
Pods, driving lights, light bars, rock lights — the full BD catalog. Here's what goes on the most builds we do.
Squadron SAE Amber (Fog Replacement)
SAE-legal replacement for factory fog lights. Wires into the factory fog circuit. Amber for weather cut-through. Our most-installed BD light — it goes on almost every build we do.
LP Series — LP4, LP6, LP9
Bigger output and broader patterns for serious off-road driving. Great in a Buckstop bumper or roof-mounted.
Squadron Sport / Pro
Secondary pod lights for wider coverage. Driving, work, or wide cornering patterns.
XL Series — XL80 / XL80R / XL Linkable
Main auxiliary driving lights. We install a lot of XL80R driving-combo clear patterns wired to the Switch-Pros for dirt-road use.
S8 Light Bars
Slim linear light bars. Hood, bumper, or grille mount.
OnX6 Light Bars
High-output curved and straight light bars. Roof-rack mount for maximum throw.
S1’s & Scene lights
Scene lighting where you need it. Around your camper, as a reverse light. Or anywhere you want just that touch of BD light
Rock Lights
Under-body lighting for low-speed tight obstacles. Nice wired to the Switch-Pros as a scene setter.
Lens covers & pattern-swap lenses
Most BD pods and some bars accept swappable lenses — switch from a driving pattern to work or wide-cornering on the same light. Protective lens covers (clear, amber, rock guards) are available for exposed mounts. Worth knowing when you're speccing.
How we wire it
Quality components end-to-end.
A lighting install is only as good as the wiring behind it. We build every BD harness with proper wire gauge sized to the amperage, marine-grade Deutsch waterproof connectors at every joint, relays rated for the load, fuses at the battery, and protective loom wherever wire runs near heat or frame rails. The switching gear comes and goes — the wiring outlasts the truck.
Switching, several ways: if your truck has factory upfitter switches, we can wire BD lights directly into those for clean factory-style on/off control. If you want more — dimming, pattern programming, strobe, or high-beam link — we add a Switch-Pros or similar control unit. For Squadron SAE ambers running as factory fog replacements, we wire straight to the factory fog circuit so they behave exactly like OEM. The right setup depends on how many lights you're running and how you want to use them. We'll spec it with you.
Swappable lenses & user-serviceable hardware
BD lights are designed to be tinkered with.
Most BD pod lights and some bars accept swappable lenses — you can change the beam pattern on the same light by swapping the lens. Rock guards and tinted covers are available for exposed mounts. And the majority of their products are user-serviceable: if something fails, you can open it up, swap the part, and keep it going. That's rare in aftermarket lighting — most competitors build sealed units that get thrown out when one LED dies.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
BD actually stands behind it.
Every BD light comes with a limited lifetime warranty on the LEDs and LED drivers, plus a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. We've had customers run the warranty process and it works — BD replaces what fails with minimal hassle. That matters when you're dropping serious money on a full lighting package and betting on it lasting a decade.

Tell us the truck, where you want lights, and how you'll use them. We'll spec the right Baja Designs package and install to make it work.
