Chris's F-250.
2025 Ford F-250 + FWC Hawk.

Stock truck plus a sway bar, an under-seat air compressor, and a Hawk. Sometimes you don't need to do much.

Why a minimal F-250 build?

Chris brought us his 2025 F-250 Lariat with a clean ask: a Hawk on the back, and just enough done to the truck to make it ride well loaded. The 6.7L Power Stroke HO and the F-250's factory payload mean you actually don't need to do much to a Super Duty to haul a slide-in camper — the brakes are big enough, the factory tires are load-rated, and the platform is built to carry. So we kept it minimal. There's plenty you could add — a Carli kit, bigger tires, bumpers — but for this customer, a clean stock truck with a couple of targeted upgrades was the right call.

What we did add was a Hellwig 1-5/16" Big Wig rear sway bar — tightens body roll up under the camper for cleaner cornering on freeway off-ramps and tight bends — and an under-seat ARB Twin on-board air compressor system. The compressor mounts in the back-seat fold-flat storage on the SuperCrew, with air-chuck connection points at each rear door and the controls wired through the factory upfitter switches. ARB digital inflator and high-heat hose included. This is the same setup we run on most of our Super Duty non-flatbed builds now — if airing back up isn't easy, you'll never air down, so a built-in solution earns its keep.

On the back is a brand-new 2026 FWC Hawk side dinette in Matte Black Diamond Plate exterior — pretty close to fully optioned. King bed slide with underbed storage, twin Max-Air roof fans, Truma furnace and Truma water heater with an outdoor shower, the 85L Iso-therm fridge, the quilted thermal pack with window covers, the carpet kit, and both exterior LED lighting and rear LED floodlight packages. Power is two Expion360 162Ah lithium batteries on the factory FWC BCDC 25A DC-DC charger with Victron monitoring, and we added a 180W REDARC glass solar panel up top on our custom roof mounts. Yakima tracks installed for whatever rack accessories Chris adds down the road. Sometimes the right build is the one that doesn't try to do too much.
